BLOOM The Salon, a boutique experience founded and led by a passionate, specialist located in Keego Harbor. Styling, color, and specialty treatments by educated, highly trained stylists who are rooted in integrity, in turn offering quality-driven services set by value-based pricing creating a memorable experience.
The Ask: To create a cohesive brand to reflect the salon’s authentic nature and the purpose-driven mission and backstory of its founder, Dahlia Misho. Simultaneously, the brand strategy intention is to support the interior experience and provide design details and comprehensive guidelines for decision-making and marketing direction.

Design Solution: The logo draws inspiration from the salon's name, BLOOM, combining vision, beauty, and nature while paying homage to the founder's late father, who had a green thumb. The iconmark is created by using dahlia flower petals as a base, then arranging them to add depth and form new shapes that reflect brand keywords such as faith and community. The inline style and circular containment give it a luxurious and clean feel. The main logotype features a clean humanistic serif, customized in multiple areas to connect elements of the mark and the brand story. For example, the “B” counterform and rotated “OO” hints at dahlia petals – this is then paired with a clean, all-uppercase modern sans-serif for contrast. The color palette pulls inspiration from nature, using contrasting rich tones to highlight the salon's high-end services and experience.
