The Ask: Shinola came to The College for Creative Studies’ Graphic Design Department in 2012 as part of a sponsored project that entailed creating an identity system projected five years out.


Services: Visual Brand Identity, Brand Strategy, Print Collateral, Digital

Design Solution: Out of 8 groups, our team of 5 designers placed first with the chosen solution. Our identity consisted of extensive research/strategy, print, website, mobile, packaging, and brand guidelines. I worked specifically in the following areas: research/concept, experimentation with materials, user personas, layout mock-ups, packaging ideas, brand guidelines, and presentations.
